Waving a tattered, cream flag, I stepped once again upon the dead grass that I forced myself to resent, entirely and vengeful. Just as I reveled in the pain of searing guilt, he deepened the wound, reminding me of the life I left behind. All at once, my dreams led my mind to a chamber I wanted nothing more but to escape. Stranded on an island of my own misery, unsure of how to get back to shore. And maybe the worst of all, the haunting knowingness that where I had landed was not at the fault of time, and her bitter moments, but instead, my own.

This project, my fall 2022 University of Michigan minor in writing gateway portfolio, features the story of ourselves untold- a book trailer, media, and blurbs from an unwritten fiction novel that goes by ‘Bleeding Escades’.
Staring at the sun, as I know we all do, 'bleeding escapades' forces your hand into facing the brutality of ourselves.
Am I a victim of my circumstances? Or am I just a victim of self sabotage? Could I be the villain in my own life? Or is there some force somewhere, singling me out? The only thing I ask is this:
What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done?
Are you proud of it? Knowing that the ones you loved died at the hands of your own doing?
Without even giving the respect of recognizing what you've become?
